Sidharth Malhotra to kick off new schedule of action thriller Yodha in Manali

Sidharth Malhotra is all set for yet another army man role. Following his spectacular performance in Shershaah last year, this time the actor will play a soldier who fights terrorists who have hijacked an aircraft. While the first look was unveiled last year, today the actor begins a new schedule in Manali.

As per a daily, this will be Dharma Productions' first offering in aerial action space. The action thriller sees Sidharth Malhotra in an action avatar and it is reportedly based on a true incident from the '90s. The film will reportedly arrive in 2023 in theatres following the delay due to the pandemic.

Last year, Karan Johar unveiled the first look of Yodha, featuring Sidharth in an intense avatar. “After conquering the peaks, I am proud to present Sidharth Malhotra back with power in the first of the action franchise by Dharma Productions - #Yodha. Directed by the dynamic duo - Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. ," Karan wrote.

In the past, Sidharth and Karan have collaborated on numerous films, including his debut Student of the Year, Hasee Toh Phasee, Kapoor and Sons and ShershaahYodha will also star Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna.

The movie will be helmed by debutant director duo Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre and produced by Karan Johar for Dharma and Shashank Khaitan under his newly-minted banner Mentor Disciple Films.
