It began when when producers Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani, who also produced Arjun's Mubarakan, bought the rights for Arjun Reddy's Hindi remake. While they had Arjun in mind, Sandeep had met Shahid and promised him the film. Since Sandeep had to direct the Hindi version as well, they chose to go ahead with his choice. In a recent interview, Arjun opened up saying he wanted to respect Sandeep's choice and didn't want to be a troublemaker for the producers either by getting into a war of ego. Adding that only Sandeep could have churned out Kabir Singh as perfectly as he did, Arjun also heaped praises on Shahid, calling him a fantastic actor! On the work front, Arjun will be next seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat. He's also working on Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Also Read:
In the first look, Farhan Akhtar is all beefed up in this shirtless photo whilst getting ready for a match in a boxing ring. Along with the look, he also announced that Toofan will release on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, 2020. “Toofan Uthega!! FIRST LOOK! #TOOFAN releasing 2nd October 2020!! ,” he captioned his post. As of now, Farhan Akhtar is gearing up for his upcoming movie, The Sky Is Pink where the actor will be sharing the screen with Priyanka Chopra with whom he has also worked in Dil Dhadakne Do and directed her in Don 3. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film also stars Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf and it is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
Girish Johar agrees that this Southern biggie has a chance but War will dominate. He says, “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is looking quite good but specifically for the Hindi markets, it’s obvious that War would be the first option.” Harveen Singh however says, “I don’t think Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is that big a competition for War in the North. In the South, it’s huge but in the Northern belt, it won’t have much of an impact”. He also predicts, “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will get an opening of below Rs. 5 crore.” Raj Bansal on the same lines states, “There’s hardly any buzz for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in this side, not even for Hindi version. No one knows the history of this freedom fighter. Such films don’t do very well in the North, except for a Baahubali.” Atul Mohan however refuses to write off the potential of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. He justifies, “Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are quite smart. They must be confident of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and hence are taking the risk of clashing it with a film like War.” And lastly, the much-talked about Hollywood flick Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix, also hits screens on October 2. The film has opened in film festivals with unanimous praise. Girish Johar feels this film too might excel, “Joker is a very upmarket Hollywood film which will have its fair share of audiences in the top metro city multiplexes. It has fantastic pre-release reports from Overseas.” Atul Mohan tells, “Joker seems like a very dark film and only for niche audiences but its reviews are very encouraging. It’ll get very limited release and they (Warner Bros) must be mentally prepared that they are coming in a week which will be dominated by two other big films. Maybe they must have planned it that way and must have avoided going all-out, like these studios usually do for mainstream, Hollywood films.” Harveen Singh positions the Hollywood dark film above Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy on the buzz scale. He says, “Joker has a buzz among Hollywood audiences, especially those who are fans of the character. I feel in West and Northern belt, Joker is a bigger opposition than Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy for War!” Raj Bansal however is ruthless as he makes it clear that “Releasing Joker on October 2 is the biggest mistake of Warner Bros. It will not work at all”. Komal Nahta too admits, “Joker doesn’t really stand much of a chance.” The trade and industry are divided over Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Joker but one thing is for sure. War seems like a winner and is expected to fetch a flying start. If content is also appealing and reports positive, then sky is the limit for this flick! Also Read:
Bollywood Hungama was the first to tell you that the Salman Khan was reuniting with his Bharat producers, Atul Agnihotri and Nikhil Namit for a hard-core masala entertainer – the exception being that it would also be produced by Salman Khan Productions. There were also reports that the movie was titled Radhe but while admitting that his Eid 2020 release would be directed by his Dabangg 3 director, Prabhu Dheva, he had denied that the movie was called Radhe. Says a trade source, “Recently, when asked about a movie called Radhe, releasing on Eid, Salman had denied it, adding that Prabhu Dheva would direct it. But buzz is that Radhe was almost happening but for various reasons didn’t. After Inshallah got postponed indefinitely, Salman was searching for a script. He got two – one a Korean remake and the other a masala entertainer. One thing was certain – whichever was finalised, the film would be directed by Prabhu Dheva. Salman is extremely impressed with the director’s work in Dabangg 3, his massy connect and the fact that everything is on schedule. The massy entertainer was finalised and titled Radhe because in both his movies (Tere Naam and Wanted) where he is called Radhe, they have turned out to be blockbusters.” The source adds that even the poster for Radhe had been designed and kept ready. “Atul Agnihotri, Nikhil Namit and Salman were ready with the announcement but something happened last week and the project fall apart. While the buzz is that they discovered just before the announcement that the story was similar to another movie and the title is with someone else – only a few (including Salman) know what the truth is. The story was based in the heartlands of North India and the final draft (with Salman’s inputs) was complete with rumours of the star playing a double role. Salman had planned to announce the movie, after he began shooting for it.” Now the hunt for a fresh script is on again. The source adds, “Salman won’t leave Eid 2020. His fans expect it and it’s a box-office bonanza for everybody around. No other star except Salman enjoys that kind of BO success on Eid so it’s natural that his release comes on that day. This project is very important to Salman and he is taking keen interest himself in every department. There is another script that they are looking at. The movie will definitely be a musical entertainer with great action and a love story for both the multiplex audience and single-screens like the Dabangg franchise.” Also Read:

It is a known fact that after shelving of Inshallah, the filmmaker has started work on Gangubai with Alia Bhatt where she would be seen as a central protagonist. While she has the biggest part in the film, the script also includes a young male character who has an important part to play as well as Alia’s love interest. To get the right actor enact this part, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has intensified his search so that preparations are well in place before the film goes on floors. This is where Kartik Aaryan fits in. Of what we hear, the character appears at a crucial juncture of the film’s narrative and leaves a strong impression. Knowing Bhansali’s penchant for getting his characterisation and casting perfectly right, one expects the part written for Kartik to be carrying good meat as well. To add fuel to the fire, Kartik was in fact recently spotted stepping out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office after a meeting with the filmmaker. While there is a strong buzz in the air already around the two being serious about consolidating this association, one waits to hear the formal announcement now. Considering the fact that each of the four upcoming films of Kartik has the actor as a central protagonist in a solo lead role, one waits to see if the actor would make an exception and step in for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. The first schedule will comprise of the filming of a song also featuring other actors Kainaat Arora, Alankrita Sahai and Nazia Hussain. All the five actors are already into prepping for the track. The five characters in his film will be seen setting off for a holiday which will follow with rather interesting incidents. The film will be extensively shot across the gorgeous locales of England and Scotland.

“I don’t feel like I am 30. It is a big number. When I look back at the last three decades of my life, I wonder, where did they go? Career-wise, this year has been fabulous as after the release of Gold, things have looked up for me. By God’s grace, I have got some good offers and exciting roles, so I am looking forward to all of that this year,” the actor says. Sunny also says he wants to spend the day with his family. “I am going to celebrate the day with the people that I love — my family and friends. I have been neck-deep in work as I was constantly shooting for films and endorsements, and my work commitments had made it difficult to focus on house hunting and on finding my choice of decor. I’m in love with my new pad. It’s a reflection of me and I can’t wait to show it to my friends. It’s all finally done and I have moved in! Bits and pieces in the house reflect my persona and my love for travel and I am looking forward to adding more personalisation to this place soon.” Parineeti has wrapped up filming for The Girl on the Train remake by Ribhu Dasgupta. Confirming the same Tara Sutaria explained why her character features no dialogues saying, "What really drew me to Marjaavaan and Zoya's character is the fact that she is actually mute. So for the film, I actually learnt sign language for a couple of months before, and it helped me a lot for the film. Besides I think it is a beautiful way to communicate and will definitely use it in real life too when I travel.” Now, knowing that Tara plays a mute in Marjaavaan we can’t wait to see how the chemistry between Zoya and Ragu (Sidharth Malhotra) unfolds on the big screen. The song was a last-minute addition to the film which features actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui alongside Sunny Leone. The song was to be shot at Filmistan Studio in Goregaon. In March this year, the producer had shown the door to director Debamitra Hasan and several other unit members citing creative differences. Hasan claims that they are still to be compensated for their work. Meanwhile, Ashok Dubey, the general secretary of FWICE while speaking to a media house said that they had received several complaints regarding the sacking of technicians and non-payment of dues. The Federation had issued several notices to the producer, who chose to not pay attention to it. Therefore, the technicians decided to protest on Thursday. Viacom 18, the co-producers of the film have agreed to meet the FWICE members after they realized that the shoot had to be stopped mid-way. According to the director Debamitra Hasan, Bhatia had sacked her, the editor and the writer after they had an argument about the edits in the film. Meanwhile, Rajesh Bhatia said that the shoot was not halted, but the crew only stopped during the lunch break. He also said that the FWICE members were on the set to check if the technicians were carrying ID cards. When he was questioned about the nonpayment of dues, he said that the payments are structured and a part of the payment will be done after the release. He also said that Debamitra will be given credit for the film. Also Read:
Last year, Luv Ranjan had been accused of sexual harassment by an aspiring actress (anonymous) but he had denied the allegations. He had released a statement on his Twitter handle apologising to whoever he had caused hurt or not made feel comfortable enough. Apparently, Deepika's signing the movie is kept under wraps for the moment as the makers want to make an announcement at the right time. Says a trade source, “Deepika is doing Luv Ranjan’s untitled next but everybody wants to keep it under wraps till the whole noise about Me Too dies down completely. Deepika had signed the movie much earlier this year and had started discussions regarding the script with Luv. In July, she and Ranbir were even spotted coming out of the filmmaker’s office but Deepika’s fans took offence to that and #NotMyDeepika started trending online. Many felt on social media that given her strong stance against sexual harassment she shouldn’t do the movie and ask her to rethink her choice. In a magazine interview, Deepika had denied that she would be willing to work with a person, accused of sexual misconduct. Her fans were appeased by that but now that she has signed the film it will be interesting to see their reactions.” The source adds that Deepika, Ranbir and Luv have quietly been working on the movie after the fan protests. “Apparently, they meet at Luv’s home and office but make sure the media doesn’t get a whiff of it. It’s a very different kind of role for Deepika and a well-scripted romance. The actress had loved the script and given her nod months ago. Also, she and Ranbir share great on-screen chemistry and with Luv’s it will be their fourth movie together after Bachna Ae Haseena, Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani and Tamasha. Once the prep and workshops are done, they will make the announcement at the right time. Me Too is a sensitive subject and the makers and the actors don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. Ranbir is currently shooting for Shamshera and will join in preps soon. The movie will roll next year after Ajay and Ranbir complete their current quota of movies.” The source adds that while Shraddha Kapoor had never been approached for Luv Ranjan’s next, where Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana was concerned, apparently, both Shraddha and Hrithik Roshan were in talks till Hrithik turned down the movie. “It’s true both hadn’t signed the movie and it was prematurely leaked out that they had signed it. Apparently, Shraddha was keen to play Sita opposite Hrithik’s Ram but when he said no, she too opted out. Hence the flurry of denials (about either star being approached), coming from Nitesh, Shraddha and Hrithik regarding the movie. But for Luv Ranjan’s next it was always Deepika, never Shraddha. The younger actress’s name was tossed around only last week so that again a storm of protests from Deepika’s fans don’t arise again till the makers are ready to make an announcement.”
Directed by Karan Lalit Butani, the film is a human adventure based on true incidents of the Indian Army with a twist. Kwatha is also the name of one of Manipur's villages. Stepping into the shoes of an army officer, Aayush underwent intensive prep for his role in the film, including working on his physique and his look. The stunning Isabelle, on the other hand, has undergone training for four years at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, before making her big Bollywood debut. Isabelle Kaif was initially supposed to make her Bollywood debut in Stanley D'Costa's Time To Dance which features Sooraj Pancholi as the co-star. Speaking to a daily, Dinesh Vijan said that the idea is to play around the theme -'divorce sah parivar'. Talking further about the concept of the film he said that there will be chaos in a divorced couple's life as the family is not aware of the divorce. However, the two share a very different equation when the camera is not rolling. While talking to a daily, Tiger Shroff revealed that he has looked up to Hrithik all his life and his equation with him is that of a guru and shishya. While talking about his experience of working with his childhood idol, he said that he got to learn a lot. Praising Hrithik, he said that the actor has a mind of a director as well. Tiger considers himself lucky to have been directed by Hrithik in a few scenes. Talking about their first meeting, Tiger revealed that at the age of 14 he had gone to Hrithik's gym along with a mutual friend. Tiger recalled that Hrithik was happy to see him as he had known him since 1993 when he was an assistant on the film King Uncle in which Jackie Shroff was the lead actor. Both, Hrithik and Tiger share the love for fitness and dance and have an inclination towards action-oriented roles. On asking whether these similarities are coincidental, Tiger revealed that it had been a studied move on his part. Subconsciously he made decisions that made him similar to Hrithik. He said that he used to watch one song of Hrithik every night before he went to sleep. The next morning Tiger would recreate those steps. Also Read:
At the trailer launch of the film, the three actresses were asked about their characters and role in a film like Housefull, where women usually have “meaty” roles. Kriti Sanon said, “The story and script is the main kick. When I heard the story of Housefull 4, I fell down. It was that funny. Having said that, as an actor if you get even five scenes and those scenes are brilliant then that's enough.” Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde said, “We are new age women. We are powerful women and that is the change you will see in the series. Kudos to Nadiad sir and the team for showing this. We are warriors, we have been raised to become warriors and that is the change you are going to see in the film.” Kriti Kharbanda said that the length of the character does not matter but the character is what matters. “I think at the end of the day if you are happy looking at yourself doing a little something that you know you will enjoy. Like they say it is about quality and not quantity, it is as simple as that. And Housefull 4 is all about quality,” she added. Housefull 4 is presented and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala‘s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and co-produced by Fox Star Studios, directed by Farhad Samji slated to release on Diwali 2019. At the trailer launch, when asked if he has done anything to offend Karni Sena since he is playing an historical role in this film and Prithivraj Chauhan in the next one. He responded, “Please aap rehne do na, aapko shanti achi nahi lagti. Koi aisa koi problem nahi hai madam, toh main aapse darkhast karta hoon haath jodke ki aisa kuch na kare. Acchi bhali aapki industry chal rahi hai, aapne zabardasti kuch karna hai yeh sab. Kya faida? (Please, let it be. You don’t like peace, I guess. There is no problem as such madam, so I request you to not say anything. Film industry is doing well, why forcefully create trouble?” While he is playing a ruler in Housefull 4, he is set to star as Prithviraj Chauhan in his next film. When asked whether it is on similar lines and whether it will affect his next film, he said, “Nahi koi asar nahi padega usme. Yeh (Housefull 4) bahut alag film hai, woh (Prithviraj Chauhan) bahut alag film hai. Iss film ke beech mein aur uss film ke beech kareeban char aur aa jayenge filmnein (No, it won’t affect anything. This film is different from the other one. Directed by Farhad Samji, it is slated to release on Diwali 2019.
The entire cast attended the trailer launched dressed as their characters from 1416 era. At the trailer launch on Friday, Akshay Kumar revealed, “Firstly, you need a lion’s heart to make a film of this scale. We had Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala with us. They have lion’s heart because of which such big films can be made. It is difficult to make a film like this, there are a lot of problems when making a film, getting so many actors on board and involving them in a story. If all the actors, technicians and members work with fun and joy, then these problems are easily conquered. ” “This film was completed 8-9 months ago. But, VFX took a while. Since the film required that kind of VFX. We approximately completed this film within 60-70 days,” he added. When someone from Melbourne asked whether the budget of Housefull 4 is more than Bahubali, Akshay Kumar said, “Definitely not. We finished this film in 65-70 days. So, the budget of the film is very different from that (Bahubali). I think we have made this film between Rs. 80-85 crores.” He further quipped, “And whatever was given by Fox Star Studios, I have taken it all.” Housefull 4 is a multi-period drama where we will see the cast in their present lives which will be the reincarnation of their lives from over 600 years ago. While the next project for Dubey is still in the works, the actor has been committed to two more projects with the stable. Dubey already has a time travel finite series under his belt with Star as well as a web show will is up for announcement soon. Speaking about it, Satyajeet says, “Sanju Sir has treated me as one of his own. He and Manayata Maam have been incredibly kind and generous always showering me with great love and warmth. In an exclusive chat with this writer, Aparna Sen says, “Gully Boy got the most number of votes. Because of its overall artistic merit as well as its popular appeal, it was felt by the jury to be the fittest film to represent India at the Oscars, which is essentially a popular award.” However, there is a storm of protest brewing against Gully Boy going to the Oscars because of its striking similarities to the Curtis Hanson-directed 2012 Hollywood film 8 Mile.
